Sterling Soft Water

Mr. Goodwater is a multigenerational family business that has been helping Northern Illinois homeowners solve water problems for over 25 years. We specialize in residential water treatment, including water softeners, iron filters, and reverse osmosis drinking water systems. If you are searching for a way to stop orange rust stains from spreading across your sinks and tubs, our team can design a system that removes iron at the source. Homeowners who notice a rotten egg smell coming from their faucets also turn to us for lasting relief. We are proud to be one of the most trusted names in soft water across the region, and every soft water system we install is built to handle local water conditions. Our strong commitment to quality components and expert installation is what distinguishes us from our local competition.

Sterling, Illinois is home to nearly 15,000 residents and sits along the banks of the Rock River, directly across from its twin city of Rock Falls. One of the town’s most popular landmarks is the Dillon Home Museum, an Italianate house built in 1858 for Civil War General Edward Kirk. It later became the home of P.W. Dillon, president of Northwestern Steel and Wire, and it still holds the family’s original furnishings today. Sterling also has the Sinnissippi Mounds, a group of ancient Hopewell burial mounds that offer a quiet look at the area’s deep history.

Mr. Goodwater proudly serves the Sterling area and beyond. Many families in Sterling find that hard water is the hidden cause of spotty dishes, cloudy glasses, and crusty buildup around the kitchen sink. A custom soft water system from Mr. Goodwater changes that by helping your dishes, glasses, and silverware sparkle while keeping your countertops cleaner. It can also extend the life of your dishwasher, which protects one of the hardest-working appliances in your home. With high-quality soft water flowing through your faucets, a small amount of dish soap goes a long way, and you can spend less time scrubbing and more time enjoying a kitchen that truly shines.
